Stringphone is a collaborative fiction project coordinated by Noah Isherwood.
We are always open to submissions for this site and limited quarterly printings, and are happy to receive prose, poetry, and visual art. Our tastes trend towards the odd and satirical, and we are looking for pieces that constructively explore the imagined city we are creating together. Specifically, we will always be excited to receive:
comical advertisements
reviews of imagined art shows, plays, films, or albums
exposés of juicy local drama
culinary criticism
Please read a few articles to get a sense of our style before pitching, and remember to create a pseudonym!
You may send all submissions to stringphone.editorial@gmail.com with your (real) name and title in the subject line. No cover letters please, none of us have time for all that; just let us know which section you think your piece would work best in so we know where to direct your submission.
No AI. Ever.
We are not a paying market at this time.
You can also keep up with us on Twitter (for now) and Bluesky, and physical editions can be purchased at Neighborhood Books.
